Message to All:

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic family, fraternal organization established in 1882.  Our Founder, Father Michael J. McGivney, knew that if Catholic men banded together under the ideals of charity, unity, faith and family, they could have a major impact on the world around them.  In the words of Fr. McGivney: “The founding of the Knights of Columbus was a means rather than an end; a means to strengthen husbands and fathers so that they could, in turn, strengthen their families in Faith and secure their material well-being.”

The St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Council continues this service to families, our parish and the wider community.  Our membership focuses on the Knights of Columbus Faith-in Action programs of Faith, Community, Family, and Life through activities supporting the Columbia Pregnancy Center, Sisters Academy, Lazarus Caucus and other worthy charities.  We have been protecting families since our founding, establishing one of the best insurance programs in the world.  Every family needs protection and following Father McGivney’s call, the Knights have established insurance programs for its members offering life insurance, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance and retirement annuities.

So, the members of the St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Council welcome all Catholic gentlemen to join our ranks in the spirit of fraternity, family and faith.  We meet once or twice a month.  If you may be interested in joining the Knights of Columbus or just have a question about the Knights, please contact us at edpel13294@gmail.com or join us at one of our many gatherings held at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Church in Woodstock, Maryland.
